 Bedford Candies was founded in 1929 by George B. Sotirokos. The store became known for its quality chocolates and a famous 5 cent chocolate bar called the "Yankee Doodle Dandy." The Yankee Doodle isn't made today, but the store is still owned and operated by its third generation of Sotirokos'. Steve Sotirokos came into the business in 1979 and is the owner and master confectioner today. He still strives for the same excellence as his grandfather, and continues to create high quality chocolates that cannot be found anywhere else.
